River Springs Church with RESURRECTIONS SC IN DOWNTOWN COLUMBIA saturday, March 29th
Summer Clothes for the Homeless through our partnership with Resurrections SC
As we work with Resurrection Ministries in efforts to feed hungry people in Columbia, we are gathering gently used and clean clothing that we can use to bless men & women as well share the love of Christ.
So we are receiving at the church good usable spring and summer clothing: T-shirts, Short sleeve shirts, Shorts (no underwear please), Golf type shirts, Jeans, Sandals. For the men’s sizes we will take what is given but the need is always slanted to the larger sizes L-4X with XL and up as the most needed. Waist sizes are 32-38. The other crucial items needed are: Deodorants, Wash cloths (either new or very clean), Toothpaste, Razor blades (if you buy them in big packs we’ll open and regroup them in sets of three’s.)
Please bring items to the church in March and April.
About Resurrections SC
We feed the homeless and hungry and provide clothing, socks, coats, underwear, blankets, and all manners of other survival items. But....to do that requires many people on Saturday to get it done, so.....We invite local and not so local area service groups such as middle school and high school service groups, various and multi denominational church youth groups, company and business service groups to be a part of the effort to feed, serve and provide for the downtrodden, the hungry and the homeless of Greater Columbia, SC.
Since October of 2011 more than 1,000 youth from greater Columbia have come on site to help serve. We are inclusive of all races creeds and colors and gender in this world. No exceptions.
Resurrections is the non profit that reorganized when HIS HANDS MINISTRY moved to Walterboro. His Hands and this core of volunteers had been around for a decade, so when we post that we were founded in Feb of 2012, the fact is that most of us have been doing this for a long long time.
