Give Us A Sign

We have an excellent plan and more than half of the funds needed to erect a large stone sign on the front corner. Many have said that this is needed to better identify that River Springs Church meets here. In our Ministry retreat this past November, we agreed to make this a priority. Now it's about to happen! But we need about $ 5,000 more. Please give an offering, over and above what you normally give. Mark your envelope "Sign Fund". Thank you for your generous help in meeting this need that will draw people to RSC and to Christ.

Community Family Fun Day!

The 2nd Annual Community Family Fun Day is Saturday, May 31 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. We need every member of River Springs to be involved in this great opportunity to meet people in our community. We’ll have lots of games, balloons, face painting, a clown, jumping houses, snow cones, popcorn, hotdogs, a fire truck, hay rides and lots more. See Gloria Shull to sign up for what you want to do on that day. There are also boxes in the lobby if you would like to donate candy or small toys to be given as prizes. Indoor-Outdoor Community-Wide Yard Sale THIS SATURDAY!

Rent a space at the RSC yard sale on Saturday, April 19, 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Each renter will stock and man their table, do their own selling, and take home their proceeds, rain or shine. Do some spring cleaning and find some things that you can sell. Dave Ramsey says, “Sell so much stuff that the kids will think that they are next!”Outside spaces rent for $25 each. Spaces inside the building rent for $35 or $50 depending on the size and location. Inside spaces not only have the certainty of being good no matter the weather, they can also be set up on Friday. Each rental includes one 8 ft. table and additional tables can be ordered. At the end of the yard sale, a truck from His House will be on hand for any stuff you’d rather donate to charity than take back home. River Springs Church earns money through the rental of spaces. Our proceeds this year will go to help pay for children and youth summer camps. In addition, our Disaster Relief team will be selling hotdog plates for our Disaster Relief unit. And our Children’s Ministry will sell coffee and doughnuts for the children’s ministry. We need RSC members to help us set up and clean up. And, if you’re not renting a space and selling stuff, you can be on hand to help during the event. The Ladies Bible Study that meets on Tuesday nights at 7pm is starting a new study on March 25th! It’s called Stepping Up: A Journey through the Psalms of Ascent. Themes such as unity, joy and gratitude, redemption, repentance, the power of blessings, facing ridicule, and more are explored in detail. Modern-day believers can learn much from these treasured Psalms in their journey toward greater intimacy with God. The cost is $13 for the workbooks. KIDS KLUB EASTER PARTY AND EGG HUNT

We are having an Easter celebration on Wednesday, March 19 from 6:45 until 8:30 during life.groups. Bring your baskets and a friend or two for some Easter Fun and an Egg Hunt. Church members are invited to sign up at the Preschool/Kids Klub counter to bring goodies to share and to let us know if you would like to be on hand to help. We also need plastic egg and candy donations. A box is placed at the Preschool/Kids Klub counter to receive the eggs and candy.

DISASTER RELIEF LUNCH

There will be a DR lunch held right after church on March 16th. We'll have a choice of soups along with crackers, chips, cookies and a drink for $5. A half size kid's portion with crackers, drink and cookies will be $3.50. The proceeds from this fund-raising lunch go to equip our unit and our DR team for the next disaster relief deployment. Plan to stay after church & eat or get yours to go.

Would you like to find the place of service and ministry that you were made for? Your service in/through River Springs Church and outside the church can be fulfilling, fruitful, and rewarding. The key is to understand how God shaped you and to follow His lead. In Church 301, Pastor Tim helps you to see how God S.H.A.P.E.d you. S – your spiritual gift, your grace gift. H – your heart , what you care about and love. A – your abilities. P – your personality. And E – your experiences. All of these have made you into the person that you are. We'll complete some scientific questionnaire instruments to help you get an objective reading on each facet of your SHAPE. The 301 Conference is Saturday, March 8, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The cost is $15 per person and includes lunch. We'll arrange for childcare here at the church if you request it. Everybody is invited to come to this conference, even if you haven't attended Church 101 or Church 201 yet. And if you attended a 301 before and think you need to do it again, you're invited, too.

We meet on Monday mornings at the church at 6:30 a.m. to pray over the prayer requests of the church and for people to enter into a relationship with God through Christ. We meet for about 30 minutes and everyone is welcome!

The 1st opportunity is in Myrtle Beach the weekend of Friday, February 29 and Saturday March 1st. Your 2nd opportunity will be in North Augusta, March 28-29.
