At River Springs we believe that the journey is a constant and on-going process. We want to encourage you along the way:

CHURCH 101: This basic introduction to our church family is designed to clearly explain who and what our church is. You’ll learn about our beliefs on salvation, our statements of purpose, and our church’s strategy and structure. You’ll also hear about the history of our church, how the five biblical purposes are necessary to fulfilling God’s calling for your life, and the plans for the future of River Springs. At the end of class, you’ll be given the opportunity to decide whether to complete the membership process by filling out and signing the membership covenant.

Who Should Be Baptized:

Christians believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, salvation occurs only when a person places his or her faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as the sufficient payment for his or her sin.  If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then you are ready to be baptized. Just like a bride and groom show others their love for one another by wearing wedding bands, your baptism is your opportunity to show others that you have accepted Christ and are now walking with Him.

What Baptism Symbolizes:
Baptism is a way of showing others that you have entered into a relationship with Jesus Christ. It symbolizes what took place in your heart at the time of salvation:
* Accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
* Shared in His death and resurrection, illustrated by going under the water (dead to your old life), then rising again (new life).
* Were symbolically washed clean, and sins were forgiven by His death on the cross.

Because Jesus instructed us to be baptized, baptism is an act of obedience. While it is not necessary for salvation, it demonstrates submission to God. We immerse at River Springs Church because we believe Scripture shows that Jesus modeled that for us as the way to publicly acknowledge our faith in Him.

Baptism does not make you a believer, rather it shows that you already believe. If you have any questions about how to begin a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, please contact

CHURCH 201:Do you want to become more like Jesus? Class 201 will help you develop the habits you need to jump-start your spiritual growth. It will give you an overview of the three basic spiritual habits every Christian needs in order to grow: daily time with God (prayer and Bible study), giving, and fellowship.

LIFE.GROUP: At River Springs Church, we believe that life is best lived in an environment of meaningful, authentic friendships where every person has the opportunity to know one another and to be known by others. Life.groups are that environment at River Springs. Click HEREto discover more about how to connect to a life.group.

CHURCH 301: Did you know that God created you with special gifts intended for his purposes? God didn’t design ministry for just a few – he made each one of us a minister. At Church 301, you’ll learn how God can use your Spiritual Gifts, your Heart, your Abilities, your Personality, and your Experiences (S.H.A.P.E.) to minister to the needs of others.

SERVING: Once you determine your S.H.A.P.E., there are many places in to serve within the church and in the community. It is a vital part of your spiritual growth to serve in your local church and you can do this in so many ways: taking care of babies, greeting people at the door, encouraging others by hosting a life.group, even mowing the grass...the list is endless. Discover where you can plug your spiritual gifts and talents in and jump on board! If you know of a way you'd like to contribute to River Springs, please fill out the contact form and tell us where!
