LOCAL MISSIONS
We glorify God by making disciples in the Midlands. Much of our disciple-making in the Midlands occurs through our members’ personal witness in their offices, schools, and neighborhoods. But we also unite together in structured outreach to make disciples believing that every River Springs member has been blessed with talents and gifts to be witnesses to Christ in the world.

HEART FOR SCHOOLS
Heart for Schools is a network of churches serving students and teachers in South Carolina. We are currently partnered with several schools in District Five of Lexington-Richland Counties. Opportunities for you to serve include our Snack Pack Ministry (providing food for at-risk students over the weekend), Teacher Support and Encouragement, and much more throughout the year. Our desire is to love and support our local schools well!
Oliver gospel mission
The mission of Oliver Gospel is to create lasting transformation in the lives of homeless men, women, and children in Columbia through emergency services, rehabilitation, and transitional programs. We get to partner with this important work through serving monthly meals at the Men’s Center and Toby’s Place in addition to participating in volunteer opportunities at the Thrift Store and Oliver Gospel’s Hope Shop.
RECONCILIATION MINISTRY
Reconciliation Ministry is a residential recovery and discipleship program where men and women are empowered to overcome their addiction and are equipped to lead their families, churches and communities while walking in accordance with the Gospel. From serving at the Storehouse, to partnering with the RM Coffee Truck to prepping meals there are many ways for you and your family to be involved with the work of Reconciliation!
BOYS FARM IN NEWBERRY
Boys Farm offers a home exclusively for the purpose of providing a Christian, charitable and educational home, with love, training, understanding and guidance to meet the spiritual and physical needs of boys in need of assistance. Throughout the year we offer partnership opportunities with our friends at Boys Farm including Volunteer Day, Fall Festival, Adventures in Academics Program, and more.
REFUGEE MINISTRY
In God’s sovereignty He has brought the nations to the Midlands and we have the opportunity to demonstrate the love of Jesus partnering through Lutheran Services Carolinas. This looks like picking up groceries for new arrivals, providing welcome meals, moving donated furniture for families, pickups at the airport and participating in a Circle of Welcome for refugee families.
